I have been teaching in Cornwall for the past 11 years and that time has flown by. Original trained as a Geography teacher with a bit of ICT thrown in. However, by dint of knowing a smidge more than the majority of teachers at the time, I have managed to climb the career ladder and obtain the heady heights of ICT Coordinator.
Little did I realise how franetic the world of ICT is. Schemes of Work alter yearly, technology and software change weekly and the only consistant thing is the increase in grey hair.
In schooling terms, we have settled on Moodle for our VLE. Have a website designed in house (not by me) using Joomla. We are re-writing KS3 due to governmental requirements. We are teaching DiDA to way to many kids at KS4 and are now also offering OCR Nationals to our vocational kids. We also now run Applied ICT and iMedia at KS5.
